Nakanishi offers two chairside conversion options depending on whether your patient is currently partially or fully edentulous.
If your patient is already edentulous prior to the surgery and has a preexisting denture, we will utilize that prostheses as their provisional. A member of our expert team will gladly assist you chairside and transition your edentulous patient from a traditional removable denture to an implant-retained prosthesis. During surgery we will reconstruct your patient's removable into a provisional that can be immediately placed after the procedure is finished. This provisional will provide your patients a familiar smile while their implants heal and osseointegrate over a three to four month process. Once the healing process is finished, their final restoration can be placed. The chairside process takes place in the span of a single day.
Immediate Denture Conversions
If your patient has preexisting dentition and requires extraction before surgery, an immediate denture will be necessary. During this procedure the implants will be placed in the bone and one of Nakanishi's pre-made dentures will be placed until the next steps for the implant denture with bar can be taken. Your patient will receive a temporary, implant denture in one day. The implant denture will protect the implants while they heal and osseointegrate over a three to four month process. Once the healing process is finished, their final restoration can be placed. The chairside process takes place in the span of a single day.
